What was your motivation to launch Czech’s first jobboard for women?
I know that there are many women talents however it is difficult for women to balance their lifes once we have families. Therefore I launched a recruitment portal in my 8th month of pregnancy believing in my dream that there would be more families happy and more women with kids working in the Czech Republic. The CZ has the lowest ratio of working women with kids till 6 years old. There are only around 30% women working whereas the EU average is around 65%.
What personal attitudes do you appreciate most about the people you work with?
My team is the most flexible team in the world 🙂
Everyone has different experiences, different needs, different points of view and that is what diversity brings to us.
Everyone I work with undestands this. We are not only black and white, we all are very different.
What do you think diversity brings to the working teams?
As a top manager I saw how much diversity brings to the teams, to the company and society. There is known data that shows higher profits, higher ROIs, less fluctuancy, higher customer orientation of companies with a diverse workforce.
Do you have advice or inspiration for women trying to find a job?
Women must believe in themselves and ideally have somebody who supports them during the time in any circumstances they go through. We shall be accompanied by those who believe in similar values and we all shall be positive thinking.
Does the Czech working market have any specialities in relation to diversity?
CZ has one of the longest parental leaves in the world. Women stay with their kids till their 3 to 4 years old. The company has to guarantee you the job once you return. The reality is obviously very different. During the parental leave you are funded by the state up to 3 years with a very low income (if you stay 3 years at home you get approx. 250 Euro per month). There are only around 20 % of women working with kids till the age of 2.
